When a button is pushed on a camera, are you taking a photo or telling a lifetime of stories?
I hope you answered with telling a lifetime of stories. Well that's what I do, I tell stories with
my camera. Like an artist with their paintbrush, I am a photo artist with my camera. Our
world is based on photos of story telling. Photos tell us about far distant places that we can't
see. They tell us about mother nature and her babies, which we often can't touch. They tell us
about our ancestors who we will never meet. Stories are what interest us, and what I tell
through my camera. When I photograph a baby, I am telling their story of childhood. I tell
their story through the eye of the camera. When you look at their eyes you see their wonder.
When a man and a woman say I love you for eternity, their lives are captured in a push of a
button. When a mother holds her unborn child in her womb, that's a precious memory to be
seen for generations to come.
So when I started taking photos I started taking them through an artists' point of view. I
wanted to paint a portrait with my camera. I strive to bring out every emotion in a photo.
When people look at my photos I want them to see a piece of artwork. I want them to feel
something, I want them to experience what the subject is feeling, I want them to read what I
am writing.
So, I started my business in October of 2005. I am a self taught photographer born and raised
in Joliet, IL. I am always researching and keeping up with the latest trends in photography
and utilizing my own style. Yes it is true I do not have any fancy photography degrees framed
on my wall, I only have my passion to show which is in my photographs. I have my own style
and unique sense of talent, which is storytelling through my photographs and creating lasting
memories.
